We collect your email (and, if you take the quiz, your profession and risk score) so we can send you your result and helpful follow-up emails. We don't sell your data. You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information any time.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Will My Job Survive? ("we," "us," "our") collects through willmyjobsurvive.com and DontGetAutomated.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site or submitting your information, you agree to this policy.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to run the Site and serve you:
- Information you give us. When you complete the job-risk scorecard or sign up, we collect your email address, and the profession and risk score you generate in the quiz. If you buy a product, your name and payment are handled by our checkout provider (see below) — we never see or store your full card details.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we and our hosting/analytics providers may collect basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device, and the pages you visit, to keep the Site working and understand what's useful.
How we use it
- To send you your scorecard result and the email series you signed up for.
- To deliver products you purchase and provide support.
- To improve the Site and our content.
- To send occasional offers related to our products — which you can opt out of at any time.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
The tools we use (and what they handle)
We use trusted third-party services to operate. Each processes only the data needed for its job, under its own privacy terms:
- MailerLite — stores your email and sends our newsletters and sequences.
- Netlify — hosts the Site and processes the form when you submit it.
- Gumroad — handles all purchases and payment processing. Your payment details go to Gumroad, not to us.
- Analytics and advertising platforms (such as Meta and TikTok) may be used to measure and promote our content; these may set cookies or receive limited event data.
Cookies
The Site may use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, measure traffic, and support advertising. You can control or disable cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work as well if you do.
How long we keep your data
We keep your information for as long as you remain subscribed or until you ask us to delete it. If you unsubscribe, we keep the minimum needed to honour your opt-out (so we don't accidentally email you again) and to meet legal obligations.
Your rights and choices
You can, at any time:
- Unsubscribe — every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Access, correct, or delete your information — just email us (see Contact).
- Withdraw consent to marketing emails.
Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as Canada's PIPEDA, the EU/UK GDPR, and California's CCPA may give you additional rights. We honour valid requests under those laws regardless of where you are.
Children
The Site and our products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Data location
We operate from Ontario, Canada. Our service providers may store and process data in Canada, the United States, and elsewhere. By using the Site, you understand your information may be processed outside your home country under the protections those providers maintain.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our Site or the law changes. We'll post the new version here with an updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
